Head E-Governance

Objective of the role

• Responsible for the growth and profitability of the e governance business pan India.
• To identify opportunities for growth of the business.

Key result areas and deliverables

• To work closely with regulatory and competent authorities as determined by the Govt. Authority
• To prepare; implement and achieve the business plan for Karvy in terms of Volumes; Revenues; Market share; Customer acquisition and Profitability
• Review deliverables including financial statements & cash flows
• Analysis of financial information underlying the financial statements
• Should have business development experience, the ability to talk to government regulators, Registrars, government officials, the ability to source deals, have the ability to generate pan India business
• Proven ability of having managed government projects on an all India basis  which involves the implementation of  documentation services & IT solutions to advance the implementation of the project.Experiecne of having handled PPP model will be useful and a distinct advantage
• Have the ability to work a large team of senior professionals
• Take care of customer Interface, billing, service delivery escalation issues from client

Key performance measures

• Volume, revenue, market share, profitability generation as per business plan and targets

Important organisational relationships

• Reporting to CEO/ED –  KDMS
• To coordinate with various business heads at HO/Regions

Qualifications

• Post Graduate in Marketing / MBA (Marketing) (Mandatory)
• B Tech (Desirable)

Desired Profiles

• Minimum 15 yrs of experience in handling govt projects
• Preferably should have/ be able to handle a team of 4 and more senior professionals
• Good knowledge of the working of the government / corporate
• Good analytical abilities

General Competencies

• Good knowledge of MS office / Power Point
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Should have command on languages: English/Hindi/One or more regional languages
• Should be open to extensive travel

• To recruit zonal / regional  heads
• To participate in Budgeting and Reviewing targets
• To review and monitor Expenditure Accounts
• Various operational authorities as per set guidelines
• Commercial terms and conditions with clients
• Performance monitoring of reporting staff

Profile Summary

1. We are looking for a candidate who is having experience of 14 to 20 years.
2. Candidate must have direct experience in dealing with the Govt. (Preferably not as consultant). It should be for a minimum period of 8 to 10 years out of his total experience.
3. He should have worked as BD head or Operations head at least for one tenure in a company which has comparable turnover to KDMSL or more preferably in e-Gov vertical
4. We need a candidate who has at least sourced 100 cr of top line in e-Gov field.
5. Connectivity with Government is prime to the job offered. The e-Gov BD head to move and contact various departments of Central Govt. and various State Govts.  Many candidates have connectivity with only one State. They are not inclined  to venture out. It is difficult  for such a candidate to establish links with other Governments. We expect the candidate to have mid level connectivity i.e. Director level in Govt of India and Jt. Secretary in State Govt. 
6. Candidate from Sales background like FMCG and later moved to e-Gov is ideally suited. We want the candidate to be active on tender openings and also ready to push for Swiss challenge solutions. 
7. Overseas experience for two to three years is welcome but working continuously for ten years abroad is a negative point. He will be away from ground realities of government operations.
8. RFP preparation knowledge is essential as we have to give draft RFP to our prospective clients
9. Age group 40 to 45 years
